To the market
In the early evening we head off by motorcycle to the market. It seems that there are markets everywhere in Singaraja, a bit like supermarkets everywhere at home! You can buy most anything at the market….
Corn, snake beans, spinach…..
Many kinds of fish….
Tomatoes, garlic and chillies….
Flowers for offerings…..
Shallots, ubi (like sweet potato)….
Beansprouts……
Tempe…..
Coconut, snake beans……
Most of the produce is local and fresh. People tend to shop daily sometimes in the morning and in the afternoon.
From around my garden
The seasons have changed…. and are being very changable down this way…cold, cold then warm, then Hot! And who knows what tomorrow may bring : )
I could cruise the weather sites, instead I’ll wake in the morn and see for myself….
Glorious fennel flowers going to seed……
A zuchinni flower in full flight…….
Burgundy gladiola…..to keep the vegetables company!
Dancing kangaroo paws in a friend’s front garden.
Native orchid spreading its roots reaching down….
Liies galore….snails delight……
Each morning I wake and wander outside full of wonder and appreciation for the bounty and beauty in my garden.
