the half and half perspective did definitely change the way i was looking at my images…here’s a few that i found and quite liked from my recent trip to bali…..
This last was taken at sunset last night across the road from my house in south oz.
There really is no way of avoiding the festive season where I live …..and parts of it I do enjoy. To all those who followed me this year a big thankyou…
Where ever you are on the planet and however you celebrate this time of you may it be peaceful and joyful….
This is one of the places I was lucky enough to visit this year…..
May the New Year be blessed for all those who live on our planet…..may our lives have some joy, some creativity and some compassion …..
Roll on 2015
This first image I took from the top of the hotel I was staying at in Pokhara 2 or 3 years ago. Many of the buildings are now 4 and 5 stories high , not nearly as pleasing to the eye as they were the first time I visited nearly 30 years ago but the views were at times spectacular! Machapuchari is its name.
This was taken in the Kali Gandaki valley near a small village called Marpha, seeing the snow swirling off the top of this mountain was amazing.
Correas are one of the many native species that grow around my neighborhood and in my garden. At this time of year, autumn heading into our winter, ( no snow maybe the odd frost) they seem suddenly to be in bloom and the honeyeaters are loving it!
This one has green tubular bells……
I love the little buds they’re so perfect.
Th colours can be vibrant attracting birds and bees….
Different shapes and sizes and multicoloured …..
I like that they aren’t super showey but nestle amongst their clusters of leaves like small jewels. Im working on finding more spaces for them in my garden.
Yesterday morning on my way to meditation, which happened to be on the edge of the coorong – an amazing body of water on the edge of the southern ocean I stopped to look for a while….. images I saw and then played with…..
Looking east and south along the mundoo channel edge….
Im still on a steep learning curve with my camera, not to mention photoshop which i used to play around with the colours and tone..
And a beautiful creeper that was growing all along the edges of this tidal estuary….
The seasons have changed…. and are being very changable down this way…cold, cold then warm, then Hot! And who knows what tomorrow may bring : )
I could cruise the weather sites, instead I’ll wake in the morn and see for myself….
Glorious fennel flowers going to seed……
A zuchinni flower in full flight…….
Burgundy gladiola…..to keep the vegetables company!
Dancing kangaroo paws in a friend’s front garden.
Native orchid spreading its roots reaching down….
Liies galore….snails delight……
Each morning I wake and wander outside full of wonder and appreciation for the bounty and beauty in my garden.
There is a part of me that feels like I am coming home when im in Ubud. I never seem to tire of seeing the beauty in things everyday …
Like the sawah
Gunung agung early morning from my balcony
Peaceful dove on the edge of my balcony….
Sculptures for sale down a small gang
A small ular wrested from the sawah (rice fields) in front of my eyes while walking in the rice padi…
In a small warung set amongst the padi…
Dewi…goddess….
Today the winds are from the land…northerly and warm….bringing memories of not so long ago warmth and colours golden brown….yesterday warm thick socks and jackets….winds from the south over the sea brrrrr ….first fire of the season……bulbs starting to sprout, already getting ready for spring. I love the unexpectedness….
