A crisp sunny morning walk with friends …
a smorgasboard of seaweeds and kelp
and other fascinating sea offerings ……
A hermit crab venturing out of its shell
A soft pale pink sponge
A glistening red shell the size of my little finger nail with an occupant!
Skeletal remains ….think its a skate
A perfect feather carefully draped atop
A glorious autumn morning’s walk which we finished off with a swim in the ocean…. Happiness is a beach!
It had been extreme heat for most of the day……early evening I wandered down to the beach to catch the last rays of sun….the beach deserted apart from the odd seagull looking for an evening snack. The wind was now onshore, cool and refreshing. I was eager to try out my new camera which I have yet to make friends with.
Still…. it was a beautiful evening and here is some of what I saw…..
Like gazing into the infinite undisturbed by humans…..
Its true…its summer where I live in south oz and at present we are in the midst of an extreme heatwave. Temperatures of 40 to 45 during the day and high 20’s at night. I head for the beach early in the morn and late in the day.
Just after sunrise this morning…..
Later in the day a few days ago……
