My garden is practically inundated with poppy plants. I will have to be careful about letting them seed every where. In the meantime I’m enjoying the ever changing cycle of blooming and dying. Here are a few i took this morning…

This place no longer exists…. an unspoilt haven ….sandy paths, lush gardens, grass roofs, outside bathrooms, no swimming pools..just a step into the ocean. In the name of progress and $$s this place was knocked down and replaced with all things concrete.

I feel a great sadness at times for humanity’s future.

A window between storm fronts

Over the past month we have experienced weather events the like of which have not been seen for some fifty years. Lots of wind, rain, thunder and lightening. Strong squalls whipping across the horizon causing huge amounts of flooding. We are seeing water in places we haven’t seen it before. I took myself across the road  to  the old golf course latish one afternoon….

What was a small stormwater pond has turned into a lake.

the water has spilled over and filled the dips in the land.
